Requirements
- Have 5-7+ years of experience in channel sales, distribution, or business development within networking or surveillance industries.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree.
- Have hands-on experience managing key distributors, including ADI, Wesco/Anixter, KOA, Pioneer Music Company, or Silmar Electronics.
- Understand the B2B market and two-tier distribution model (manufacturer → distributor → reseller/dealer).
- Demonstrate closing skills and clear communication in phone, written, presentation, and distributor-branch settings.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Be comfortable using CRM tools to track KPIs, pipeline, and account activity.
- Learn product features quickly and translate them into value for partners and end-users.
- Interpret sales data, identify trends, and adjust strategy.
- Be willing to travel as needed for distributor meetings, training, trade shows, and events.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow revenue through key security and low-voltage distributors across the U.S.
- Build relationships with distributor buyers, category managers, and regional sales leaders.
- Execute joint business plans, promotions, and product launches.
- Conduct QBRs, forecasting sessions, and sales reviews.
- Build new customers through training and education with consultants and installers.
- Maximize deal registration, inventory availability, and quoting.
- Provide product and sales training to distributor sales teams.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and B2B Sales teams on distributor activity.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor movement and translate findings into action.
