Requirements
- Have 5+ years of Sales Engineering or Technical Consulting experience supporting U.S. Federal Government customers, including at least 4 years in data, SaaS, or related technology environments.
- Have experience with leading PaaS providers, data lakes, databases, and integration platforms.
- Understand federal data and technology environments; familiarity with Snowflake Government Data Cloud, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or Palantir is a plus.
- Have working knowledge of NIST 800-53, FISMA, and the Federal Data Strategy.
- Demonstrate ability to navigate the federal procurement cycle and build relationships with government technology and data leaders.
- Have experience with value-based selling, cost-benefit and ROI analysis, process management, and project management.
- Have experience with enterprise security technologies such as LDAP or Kerberos, and data quality, data pipelines, data orchestration, or job control tools.
- Know at least two or three of these areas: data governance, data stewardship, master data management, data cataloging, and business rules management.
- Have experience with data intelligence or governance platforms and proficiency in SQL.
- Demonstrate use of AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or Copilot to solve business challenges, improve workflows, or generate measurable outcomes.
- Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Hold an active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions to understand agency environments, business needs, technical requirements, and strategic priorities.
- Own technical evaluations with specialists across data quality, privacy, AI governance, and data management.
- Partner with Account Executives to shape sales strategies, qualify opportunities, develop proposals, and influence technical and purchasing decisions.
- Prepare and own technical and functional sections of government RFPs and RFQs.
- Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations, presentations, workshops, roadmaps, and technical sessions.
- Create customized demonstration environments, workflows, and supporting assets for federal use cases.
- Lead Proof of Value engagements and value-based workshops, including solution deployments behind government firewalls.
- Architect integrated solutions across on-premises, hybrid cloud, disconnected, and classified networks.
- Advise customers on adoption, optimization, value realization, ROI, and future-state architectures while identifying expansion opportunities.
- Collaborate with customers and internal Product Management and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues and share product feedback.
