Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in technical inside sales or full-cycle B2B sales.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to discuss complex technical concepts credibly with engineers, integrators, and other technical stakeholders.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into customer value and business cases.
- Demonstrated success in proactive outbound prospecting and self-generated pipeline development.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience collaborating with Marketing on lead follow-up, campaigns, webinars, events, or demand-generation initiatives.
- Strong virtual selling skills, including live product demonstrations and solution-based consultative selling.
- Experience using quoting tools and CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar systems.
- A degree or diploma in Engineering, Mechatronics, or another relevant technical discipline is preferred; candidates with a Business degree and substantial technical sales experience will also be considered.
- Familiarity with robotic systems, industrial automation, PLCs, or AI-based machine vision is an advantage.
- Experience selling to Tier 1 or Tier 2 manufacturers is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and engage new prospects through outbound calls, email, LinkedIn, targeted campaigns, and other sales channels.
- Build pipeline by meeting targets for new conversations, qualified opportunities, virtual demonstrations, and revenue.
- Manage a portfolio of mid-sized customers across North America and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
- Lead technical discovery covering application requirements, including part characteristics, cycle times, cell layouts, robot platforms, and integration constraints.
- Deliver virtual product demonstrations and address first-line technical questions.
- Qualify opportunities, assess technical and commercial fit, and involve applications engineering for complex requirements.
- Prepare quotes and proposals, deliver presentations, handle objections, negotiate, and close opportunities.
- Partner with Marketing on campaigns, account lists, webinars, events, lead definitions, and follow-up processes.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, track opportunity health, and provide pipeline forecasts.
- Collaborate with engineering, applications, product, delivery, and customer success teams on technical evaluations and post-sale handoffs.
