Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in technical inside sales or full-cycle B2B sales.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn complex technical products and discuss them credibly with engineers and integrators.
- Demonstrated success in proactive outbound prospecting and self-generated pipeline.
- A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience working with Marketing on lead follow-up and campaign-driven selling.
- Strong virtual selling skills, including live product demonstrations and solution-based consultative selling.
- Experience with quoting tools and CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to simplify technical concepts into customer value.
- A degree or diploma in Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field is strongly preferred; a Business degree with demonstrated technical sales experience is also considered.
- Robotics, industrial automation, machine vision, or advanced manufacturing experience is ideal.
- Hands-on familiarity with robotic systems, industrial automation, PLCs, or AI-based machine vision is a plus.
- Experience selling to Tier 1 or Tier 2 manufacturers, or with marketing automation, sales engagement, or account-based marketing tools, is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and engage new Value Account prospects through outbound calls, email, LinkedIn, and targeted campaigns.
- Generate pipeline, meet weekly activity targets, and rapidly qualify and convert marketing-generated leads.
- Manage a portfolio of mid-sized customer accounts across North America and identify expansion opportunities.
- Lead technical discovery to understand customer applications, cycle-time targets, cell layouts, robot platforms, and integration constraints.
- Deliver virtual product demonstrations and answer first-line technical questions.
- Prepare and manage quotes and proposals, handle objections, negotiate, and follow up to close deals.
- Partner with Marketing on campaigns, lead handoffs, pipeline reviews, and customer and competitive insights.
- Maintain customer activity, deal progress, and accurate forecasts in the CRM.
- Coordinate complex technical evaluations with engineering and applications teams, and provide customer feedback to product teams.
- Ensure a smooth post-sale handoff to delivery and customer success.
