  • Strong customer service acumen.
  • Ability to assess needs and make thoughtful decisions to support members.
  • Time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite or applicable software programs.
  • For New York: Certified Application Counselor (CAC) certification or ability to obtain it within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate outreach to members regarding upcoming state or health-plan recertification.
  • Educate members on processes, qualifications, and required documentation, and complete applications and submissions to the state.
  • Resolve member issues related to application errors, immigration status, multi-family enrollment, premiums, and eligibility.
  • Manage individual state dashboards and handle inbound member calls.
  • Provide member reminders and information about products, premiums, care gaps, and engagement events.
  • Schedule appointments, conduct outreach to state entities, and direct members to resources and care management opportunities.
  • Promote enrollment in plan programs and follow up with members on eligibility issues when permitted by the member’s state.
  • Contact members with late renewals, post terms, or potential disenrollments and explain next steps and required paperwork.
  • Document outreach and member care and renewal status in appropriate databases and platforms.
  • Attend community-based retention events and assist with in-person renewals, eligibility issues, application updates, and paperwork.
