Requirements
- Have 2+ years of outside sales or business development experience.
- Have working knowledge of commercial construction processes, including schedules, meetings, and contracts.
- Understand channel sales and distributor pricing models.
- Have organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Be able to work independently across a large territory with minimal supervision.
- Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Currently reside within the region; relocation is not offered.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in construction management, business, or a related field; experience can substitute.
- Preferred: 3–5+ years of sales in building envelope, rainscreen/façade, roofing, or wall construction.
- Preferred: 3–5+ years of field sales with contractors, distributors, or independent sales organizations.
- Preferred: established contacts among contractors, general contractors, OEMs, or prefab builders in wall or roofing markets.
- Preferred: technical credibility in construction meetings and a track record of resolving conflicts with win-win outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with existing customers and develop new accounts.
- Track active projects and convert competitive opportunities into wins.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and agreements.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, presentations, and industry events.
- Provide technical guidance and product training to customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the customer experience from bid to completion.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records in the CRM.
- Complete company training to stay current on products and industry trends.
