Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 7 years in a USPS-related role within direct mail, logistics, or manufacturing.
  • Have experience with USPS regulations, mail preparation, mail entry, and postal rate structures.
  • Bring deep understanding of USPS rules and mail classification.
  • Know postal optimization strategies such as presort, commingling, and drop shipping.
  • Be familiar with postal software such as PostalOne! and Mail.dat, and relevant logistics platforms.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is considered.
  • Be able to analyze data and troubleshoot complex mailing challenges.
  • Have organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Active involvement with industry associations such as MTAC, NAPM, or PostCom, and experience influencing postal policy, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the USPS liaison and internal subject-matter expert.
  • Monitor USPS regulations, requirements, and rate structures to maintain compliance and identify cost and delivery-speed improvements.
  • Analyze mailing efficiency, delivery performance, and USPS trends to identify improvements and anticipate regulatory changes.
  • Develop performance, cost-efficiency, and compliance reports and present findings to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage USPS promotions by interpreting guidelines, coordinating execution with Product and Sales, and supporting customer participation and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal logistics stakeholders, external partners, and USPS representatives to improve rates and mailing workflows.
  • Represent Lob in MTAC and other USPS-related organizations, and advocate for direct mail manufacturing needs.
  • Translate industry changes into recommendations and lead initiatives involving USPS products, services, or technologies.
  • Train internal teams on USPS policies, technological innovations, and best practices.
