Requirements
- Bring 10+ years of design experience.
- Have at least four years leading a multidisciplinary in-house creative team.
- Have managed Creative Directors or other people managers.
- Provide a portfolio showing both personal work and work produced by a team under your direction, including brand and campaign work.
- Have experience building and governing a brand design system in a fast-moving company.
- Have hands-on experience integrating AI tools into a creative team's workflow and maintaining quality.
- Have experience producing video and motion for marketing, directly or through building a team and vendor mix.
- Have experience managing agencies, contractors, and budgets from RFP through delivery.
- Be comfortable representing design to C-level partners and making the case for creative quality with clarity and data.
- Bring craft depth across Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, After Effects, Premiere, and AI-assisted workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the multidisciplinary design team, set quality standards, and run critiques.
- Set the creative vision for the BILL brand across campaigns, web, product marketing, events, and other channels.
- Rebuild team workflows around AI tools for concepting, production, and versioning.
- Build a steady video production pipeline, including staffing, contracting, agency support, and review processes.
- Own the brand design system, including standards, templates, and governance.
- Manage intake, prioritization, team capacity, budgets, contractors, and agency relationships.
- Partner with Brand, Web, Product Design, and other marketing leaders on brand expression and customer experiences.
- Write briefs for major projects and present the work to senior leadership.
- Hire, develop, and retain designers.
