Requirements
- Have a bachelor's degree in graphic arts or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Have 4–5 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in publishing, editorial media, or a related creative environment.
- Have experience designing for editorial, digital, and social platforms while maintaining a cohesive visual brand identity.
- Be proficient with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma.
- Have a basic understanding of HTML.
- Demonstrate strong typography, photo-editing, and visual storytelling skills.
- Provide a portfolio demonstrating design work across digital and social media.
- Be able to distinguish platform-specific design needs rather than simply resizing assets across channels.
- Be able to incorporate feedback, manage multiple priorities, and work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Design creative assets for digital, social, video, and print platforms.
- Collaborate with social and video teams on templates, graphic systems, title cards, lower thirds, end cards, thumbnails, and other visual assets.
- Translate digital templates into Figma to support editorial workflows.
- Build and manage content in the content management system while maintaining brand consistency and quality.
- Create recipe graphics, infographics, and social media assets for platforms including Instagram and Facebook.
- Design magazine layouts and manage production files throughout the creative process.
- Set up Figma files for new quarterly issues and export and package final files for production.
- Produce occasional editorial illustrations and support cross-functional creative initiatives.
