Requirements
- Have hands-on experience with NFS/SMB protocols and Windows and/or Linux.
- Have experience with multiple operating systems: Linux, Windows, and VMware.
- Have strong knowledge of release management and the testing lifecycle.
- Have experience building test pipelines and infrastructure from a QA engineering perspective.
- Have working knowledge of NAS file-system testing.
- Have software test development experience using shell scripting and Python.
- Have experience with packet-capture tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
- Have experience writing and executing complex system-level test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Hold a BS in Computer Science and have 10+ years of experience, or hold an MS in Computer Science and have 8+ years of experience.
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Active Directory administration is desired.
Responsibilities
- Lead testing of storage features through product design participation, test strategy development, hands-on testing, and automation.
- Review feature designs and provide feedback to improve product quality and testability.
- Devise test strategies to find product vulnerabilities through cross-functional, system, and stress testing.
- Work with developers to understand features and bug fixes and develop test cases for new features and regression testing.
- Collaborate with the tools team to develop test automation for product features.
- Work with Customer Support to understand customer issues, reproduce them in-house, and debug them.
