Requirements
- Have 8+ years of experience building and operating production systems, with ownership of significant systems.
- Bring strong Python experience in serverless or service contexts, including AWS Lambda, container images, dependency and runtime management, and multi-stage job orchestration.
- Have hands-on Terraform experience, including independently standing up a production data store and its IAM, encryption, networking, and alarms.
- Be fluent in analytical SQL and data modeling, including building and debugging multi-stage warehouse pipelines and reconciling messy source data.
- Have experience across relational, key-value/document, and search database paradigms.
- Be able to own changes across a large Ruby on Rails codebase.
- Have deep AWS experience with Lambda, S3, SQS, Kinesis, EventBridge, DynamoDB, Aurora/RDS, Redshift, and IAM.
- Have kept production ML models serving correctly over time, including versioning, dependency drift, feature plumbing, and explainability.
- Have experience navigating a fast-paced growth-stage environment where priorities shift and ownership is expected.
- Bring strong judgment about AI-assisted engineering and uphold code quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Own the pipeline that produces demand models, renewal probabilities, price elasticity, and compliance scoring.
- Rebuild ingestion of lease and charge data from property management systems with inconsistent APIs and identity models.
- Write Terraform for the databases, queues, and roles used by the system.
- Build orchestration for ingestion, inference, and downstream daily jobs, including readiness gates and recovery from delays.
- Build observability and alerting for pipeline health, data freshness, and recommendation drift.
- Work across Python services, Terraform infrastructure, and the Ruby application layer.
- Set and enforce code review standards for AI-assisted engineering.
