Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive experience in project management and delivery leadership, with responsibility for increasingly complex portfolios.
- 5+ years of experience leading senior project professionals, such as Program Executives or Project Directors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- PMP certification or an equivalent project management credential.
- Demonstrated success managing large, complex, client-facing project portfolios with accountability for delivery, financial performance, risk, and quality.
- Strong knowledge of PMI standards, project controls, financial management, delivery governance, and portfolio-level decision-making.
- Executive leadership and talent-development capabilities.
- Client relationship, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and the PMO.
- Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced, complex environments, with sound decision-making.
- Continuous-improvement mindset, operational rigor, and attention to detail.
- A master’s degree such as an MBA or MPM is preferred.
- Experience in engineering, automation, supply chain consulting, professional services, systems integration, or technology-driven project environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery models is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution, governance, and delivery of a portfolio of large, complex client projects across North America.
- Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, risks, margins, and resource utilization.
- Lead and develop senior project management professionals through coaching, performance guidance, career development, staffing support, and succession planning.
- Serve as an executive-level contact for strategic clients, addressing escalations and strengthening relationships.
- Partner with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other functions to align delivery strategies with commitments and organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with the PMO to strengthen project governance, delivery standards, reporting practices, tools, and performance metrics.
- Monitor portfolio KPIs and financial performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support commercial negotiations and contract adherence while overseeing project controls and financial management.
- Drive lessons learned, capacity planning, and operational improvements.
