Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, accounting, finance, business management, mathematics, or equivalent work experience in Operational Risk Management.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Health and Wealth (Benefit Administration) organizations.
  • Understanding of Operational Risk Management, operations, call centers, and other business functions.
  • Experience with risk assessments, risk decision making, and implementation of controls.
  • Ability to analyze data, conduct research, and draw conclusions.
  • Solid problem-solving, decision-making, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to create high-quality work products.
  • Proactive communication and problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement.
  • Ability to build relationships and trust with senior leaders.
  • Familiarity with industry GRC tools, Microsoft Office, Tableau, and SharePoint.
  • Employee Benefits or Benefit Administration experience preferred.
  • CIA, CRMA, or CFE certification preferred.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for risk management activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the operational risk management strategy, framework, and policies.
  • Partner with business units to remediate identified risks and document progress in Voya’s GRC tool.
  • Participate in risk identification, assessment, measurement, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Prepare and present risk committee materials and monthly or quarterly risk reports.
  • Manage risk events, including post-incident reviews, and conduct targeted risk assessments and post-release assessments.
  • Analyze risk data and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Facilitate the annual control attestation survey, analyze results, and report findings.
  • Create risk-awareness training materials and facilitate training sessions.
  • Partner with business and assurance functions to validate risk profiles and strengthen controls and processes.
  • Manage tools and procedures for risk reporting and daily operational risk processes.
