Requirements

  • Have 3–5 years of experience in business operations, data analytics, or business analytics.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries independently, debug data issues, and use joins, window functions, and CTEs.
  • Have hands-on experience with BigQuery and a modern BI platform such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Build complex dashboards, tune performance, and follow BI best practices.
  • Understand data pipelines, validation, and data quality checks.
  • Be able to technically validate data work and communicate with engineers.
  • Track project timelines, manage dependencies, follow up with stakeholders, and raise risks early.
  • Explain analytics to technical and non-technical audiences and know when to resolve or escalate issues.
  • Have experience across multiple functions, especially finance and marketing.
  • Have experience managing vendors or coordinating with external teams.
  • Deliver quality work on schedule when requirements are ambiguous.
  • Subscription or DTC business model experience is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with CPG or omnichannel retail data, including Amazon, wholesale, or retail POS, is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements and business context from internal teams before scoping work.
  • Coordinate with the external data agency, manage timelines, track status, and validate deliverables.
  • Conduct discovery conversations, scope routine analytics requests, and route or escalate work appropriately.
  • Build dashboards and reports for finance, marketing, operations, sales, and other functional areas.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and run assigned analyses and models.
  • Validate data quality and test technical deliverables against the data warehouse.
  • Maintain the project tracker, backlog, priorities, dependencies, timelines, and blockers.
  • Keep stakeholders informed, follow up on missing inputs, and flag delays and resource conflicts.
  • Monitor dashboard health, troubleshoot issues, audit data sources, and handle routine maintenance.
  • Maintain documentation and a knowledge base for custom data solutions.
