Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading IT projects from initiation through closure and independently managing projects of moderate complexity.
- PMP certification or an equivalent project management credential.
- Experience delivering projects related to ESG, environmental management, sustainability, occupational health and safety, or similar domains.
- Experience coordinating enterprise applications, systems integrations, data initiatives, reporting solutions, and multi-site deployments.
- Professional fluency in both English and French, spoken and written.
- Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and project management, collaboration, and reporting tools.
- Practical knowledge of AI tools for project planning, reporting, stakeholder communications, risk management, and knowledge management.
- Availability for occasional travel, primarily within Canada and potentially internationally.
- Experience in mining, natural resources, or other regulated industries, enterprise software implementations, and multi-site change management is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Lead IT projects of varying size and complexity within the ESG and Health & Safety domains.
- Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, budgets, forecasts, resource plans, and delivery roadmaps.
- Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communications, procurement, risks, issues, changes, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate project activities across business units, operational sites, technology teams, and external vendors.
- Establish and maintain governance structures, decision forums, escalation paths, and reporting routines.
- Manage vendor relationships, statements of work, contractual commitments, and service delivery performance.
- Report project status to operational leaders, directors, vice-presidents, and governance committees.
- Apply Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies and support stakeholder engagement, change readiness, and solution adoption.
- Promote project management best practices and contribute to knowledge transfer within client teams.
- Use AI tools and practices to improve project planning, reporting, risk management, communications, and knowledge management.
