Job Details
- Required Skills
- PostgreSQLKubernetesTypeScriptGoDistributed Systems
Requirements
- Have deep, hands-on ERC-4337 knowledge, including EntryPoint v0.6 through v0.8, UserOperation lifecycle, bundlers, paymasters, ERC-7562 validation, gas estimation, counterfactual deployment, and ERC-6492.
- Have working knowledge of EIP-7702 delegation, its interaction with ERC-4337 EntryPoint v0.8, and associated risks.
- Have experience building on or extending production smart account implementations such as Safe, Kernel, Biconomy, or Coinbase Smart Wallet, and familiarity with ERC-7579 or ERC-6900.
- Have experience designing session keys and delegated permissions, including TTLs, contract allowlists, origin binding, revocation, and ERC-7710 or ERC-7715.
- Have practical experience with EIP-712, ERC-1271, WebAuthn/passkey P-256 signers, EIP-1193, EIP-6963, EIP-5792, and ERC-7677.
- Have designed or operated a production smart wallet or account abstraction system serving real users and value.
- Bring substantial engineering experience at a large crypto product or protocol organization, or a comparable wallet, exchange, or account-abstraction infrastructure team.
- Have operated systems where defects could result in lost funds and be able to discuss guardrails, reviews, and rollback paths.
- Be able to read, review, and write Solidity account, paymaster, and module contracts; understand gas-aware design, upgrades, migrations, and work with external auditors.
- Understand L2 execution differences, including zkSync-family native account abstraction, transaction and fee models, finality, reorgs, RPC, and indexer semantics.
- Have strong Go engineering skills, including idiomatic code, concurrency, and performance profiling, and be able to design client-side SDKs in TypeScript.
- Have distributed-systems experience, including consistency, availability, failure modes, and reconciliation of off-chain state against on-chain results.
- Have experience with PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, and migrations; Kubernetes operations; Kafka or NATS; Git; and modern CI/CD.
- Have hands-on production key-management experience with secure platform storage, HSMs, MPC, or threshold signing, and understand wallet threat modeling.
- Have proven experience leading multi-quarter technical initiatives across teams, influencing architecture and standards, and writing RFCs and design documents.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy and architecture of the smart wallet platform, including the account model, signing, session management, and gas abstraction.
- Design and evolve the ERC-4337 user operation lifecycle, EIP-7702 delegation, deterministic address derivation, session keys, and permission primitives.
- Set paymaster and gas-sponsorship strategy, including sponsorship limits, abuse defenses, and behavior when sponsorship is unavailable.
- Define the security model for third-party dApp integrations, including provider behavior, origin-bound sessions, trust tiers, and transaction confirmations.
- Lead the custody roadmap toward MPC-based custody and design recovery paths using passkeys, guardians, and social recovery.
- Drive technical decisions on account architecture, SDK contracts, data modeling, and platform reliability across engineering teams.
- Identify and lead work to address systemic risks involving key management, phishing, reorgs, indexers, bundlers, RPC dependencies, and contract upgrades.
- Define engineering standards, review critical code, contracts, and designs, and support the team through documentation, tooling, and mentorship.
- Align technical plans with product, security, legal, and infrastructure stakeholders.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex production issues in the wallet and account abstraction domain.
