Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Have 5+ years of accounting and finance experience, including at least 1 year of hands-on US accounting experience.
- Bring working knowledge of US GAAP, particularly financial close, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Bring working knowledge of Indian accounting practices and statutory compliance, including GST, TDS, PF, PT, and ROC.
- Have experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP platform such as QuickBooks or Xero.
- Be familiar with expense-management platforms such as Ramp and payroll systems such as Rippling.
- Have advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with financial data and reporting.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, and financial controls.
- Be able to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and take ownership of assigned activities.
- Be able to collaborate across teams, functions, and international time zones.
- CA, CA Inter, or an MBA in Finance is preferred; exposure to Carta is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Maintain US entity books of accounts in accordance with US GAAP, including transaction records, ledgers, and supporting documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end close through journal entries, accruals, foreign exchange adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Assist with consolidated financial reporting for US and India entities, including intercompany reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Manage accounts payable, including invoice validation, approval routing, vendor coordination, and payments.
- Support US payroll and Employer of Record processing while maintaining working knowledge of India payroll requirements.
- Review and process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with established policies.
- Prepare audit and tax schedules, gather documentation, and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Apply knowledge of Indian statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, PF, PT, ROC, and FEMA, to support local finance activities.
- Maintain finance transactions and records using NetSuite, Ramp, Rippling, and Carta.
- Maintain process documentation, close checklists, and shared trackers, and identify process improvements while adhering to internal controls.
