Requirements
- Bring solid professional experience in software development, with strong expertise in back-end and/or front-end engineering.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in at least one major technology stack, such as Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js/TypeScript.
- Have experience with REST APIs, microservices, integrations, and modern software architecture practices.
- Know SQL and NoSQL databases and have experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Understand CI/CD, Clean Code, automated testing, Code Review, and contemporary software engineering practices.
- Have experience leading and mentoring technical teams and establishing engineering standards or technical governance processes.
- Have experience with pricing and technical proposals, including project effort estimation, seniority requirements, competencies, and team composition.
- Have experience with project sizing and capacity planning in complex technology environments.
- Have practical knowledge of AI-assisted software development, including code copilots, AI-assisted code generation, assisted refactoring, and prompt engineering.
- Have advanced English or Spanish for communication with international clients, teams, and stakeholders.
- Bring communication, collaboration, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Combine technical depth, people leadership, and business awareness in engineering decisions.
- Experience with mobile development, legacy modernization, large-scale environments, or technology transformation is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and management of software engineering professionals, supporting career progression, mentoring, continuous learning, and talent retention.
- Serve as a technical reference for engineering teams and promote knowledge sharing.
- Define, maintain, and disseminate software engineering standards, frameworks, methodologies, best practices, and technical guidelines.
- Lead and structure the Development Center of Excellence, maintaining relevant competencies and delivery capacity.
- Build and monitor the technical roadmap, identifying opportunities to adopt technologies, tools, certifications, and engineering practices.
- Support internal AI-enabled development initiatives and modern software engineering practices.
- Contribute to workforce planning, capacity analysis, and team composition based on project requirements.
- Work with client-facing teams and stakeholders to understand project needs and support technical staffing.
- Contribute to technical proposals and pricing, including effort estimation, seniority assessment, and team composition.
- Support technical discussions and solutions that balance engineering quality, business requirements, cost, and delivery feasibility.
