Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Have professional, internship, academic, freelance, or relevant personal experience managing or supporting social media accounts.
  • Be familiar with Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
  • Provide a portfolio or work samples demonstrating relevant social media content creation, user-generated content, design, or video work.
  • Be confident and comfortable creating and appearing in on-camera content.
  • Be proficient with Canva or comparable creative tools.
  • Be familiar with social media scheduling or management platforms such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite.
  • Understand how brands can participate in social conversations authentically while maintaining brand safety.
  • Have awareness of internet culture, social trends, and meme culture, with sound judgment about their use.
  • Demonstrate visual and design sensibility, organization, time management, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects.
  • Be able to handle sensitive information responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
  • Be able to attend required onsite planning sessions and travel occasionally for content creation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Brand Manager to develop social media concepts and content strategies informed by competitive research and platform-specific audiences.
  • Create social media graphics, videos, and other digital content using Canva or similar tools while maintaining brand consistency and visual quality.
  • Create and appear in user-generated content across paid and organic marketing channels.
  • Respond to comments, mentions, reviews, and other audience interactions across social and review platforms.
  • Monitor social media performance, capture metrics, and use insights to inform creative testing and future content.
  • Maintain a social media calendar with content plans and outlines prepared at least one month in advance.
  • Identify emerging trends, platform features, technologies, and optimization opportunities, and turn them into recommendations.
  • Monitor internet culture, industry news, social trends, and relevant PR mentions for timely content opportunities.
  • Collaborate with paid media, design, content, and marketing stakeholders to support broader campaign objectives.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements when creating or managing content.
