Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience building and delivering production-quality applications across frontend and backend systems.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and independently navigate complex technical challenges.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with technical stakeholders and customers.
- Interest in mentoring engineers and supporting the growth of junior team members.
- Customer-oriented mindset and willingness to participate in customer conversations when required.
- Ability to balance independent execution with effective teamwork.
- Experience developing, shaping, or improving routing and navigation products is a plus.
- Experience in 0→1 environments and helping teams or products scale beyond the startup phase is a plus.
- Experience as a technical lead, or in a comparable role influencing other engineers’ output, is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end software features spanning frontend and backend systems.
- Build and improve Route Planning products for operational efficiency, changing delivery demands, and fleet utilization.
- Contribute to routing, navigation, and route execution products and help define how their effectiveness and efficiency are measured.
- Partner with product managers and designers to create intuitive interfaces and APIs for planners’ workflows.
- Use AI to accelerate prototyping, address customer-related opportunities, improve development workflows, and reduce technical risk.
- Promote technical excellence, sound engineering practices, and scalable architecture with engineering managers and staff engineers.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to developing the technical team.
- Engage with customers to understand their challenges and inform product development.
