Requirements
- Have 2+ years of experience in Billing, Accounting, or a related financial operations role.
- Bring working knowledge of SaaS contracts, recurring revenue, and subscription billing models.
- Use Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
- Understand basic accounting principles and billing best practices.
- Have experience with customer portals, including invoice uploads and credential management.
- Demonstrate accuracy when processing large transaction volumes and managing competing deadlines.
- Collaborate across departments to support billing accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Experience with billing or ERP systems such as Maxio, Salesforce, or NetSuite is preferred.
- An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Responsibilities
- Generate and review invoices for new, recurring, and adjusted customer contracts.
- Upload invoices to customer portals according to their formatting requirements.
- Process billing adjustments, credits, and cancellations with supporting documentation.
- Monitor billing schedules and verify invoice pricing, terms, and usage details.
- Respond to customer and internal billing inquiries about invoices, payment status, and account activity.
- Maintain accurate billing records and documentation across systems.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Accounts Receivable, and Revenue teams to verify contract details and support billing operations.
- Prepare billing summaries, exception reports, and ad hoc customer reports.
- Analyze billing data in Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and reconciliation reports.
