Have 8+ years of experience designing and building distributed backend systems, microservices, APIs, and/or data processing systems using Python.
Bring deep experience owning system architecture and making technical tradeoffs as systems scale.
Have experience partnering with Product Managers, Designers, and Data Scientists to shape product direction and technical implementation.
Have experience in a startup or similarly fast-paced environment requiring breadth, sound judgment, and autonomy.
Be able to turn ambiguous product requirements into robust architectures and production-ready solutions.
Be able to navigate complex datasets and interconnected data structures to investigate issues and trace dependencies.
Have working experience with React and TypeScript; deep frontend specialization is not required.
Have strong software engineering fundamentals and use AI tools as development accelerators without relying on them in place of core engineering expertise.
Be willing to work across backend systems, frontend applications, data pipelines, and infrastructure.
Understand data-intensive systems and distributed architectures.
Have experience mentoring engineers, conducting design reviews, and improving engineering practices.
Be able to own complex technical problems from start to finish in ambiguous situations.

Architect and scale an incrementality product into a reliable experimentation platform.
Define technical direction for near-real-time data ingestion and processing.
Establish patterns and frameworks for AI-powered workflows.
Lead development of connection-state systems and partner ecosystem capabilities for data ingestion and exports.
Shape technical approaches for role-based access control and other cross-functional capabilities.
Take complex initiatives from ambiguous requirements through architecture, implementation, and production.
Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to shape product direction and engineering solutions.
Make architectural decisions that account for reliability, maintainability, performance, and scale.
Contribute across backend, frontend, data pipelines, and infrastructure.
Mentor engineers, participate in design and architecture reviews, and improve engineering practices.
