Requirements
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Have 5+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Deal Operations, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or a comparable commercial operations function.
- Bring hands-on experience with CPQ platforms such as DealHub or comparable tools.
- Have strong knowledge of quote-to-cash or lead-to-cash processes.
- Demonstrate experience structuring and reviewing complex or non-standard commercial agreements, including multi-year, ramped, expansion, and multi-product deals.
- Have working knowledge of revenue recognition concepts, billing and order processes, and contract execution workflows involving Legal and Finance.
- Have experience designing scalable processes, documentation, SLAs, decision rules, and operating cadences, including KPI reviews and root-cause analysis.
- Have strong analytical skills and confidence working with Salesforce and reporting tools.
- Bring commercial judgment to balance customer value, risk, revenue, and margin considerations.
- Demonstrate cross-functional communication and coordination skills and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Bring attention to detail and a disciplined approach to quote quality, approval readiness, and pre-signature checks.
- Demonstrate AI literacy, including the ability to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, and quality while applying sound judgment and critical thinking.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve deal operations workflows for intake, routing, approval readiness, SLAs, escalations, and exceptions.
- Own CPQ approval readiness, including quote quality checks, required fields, approval context, discount rationale, and downstream handoffs.
- Support Sales and Sales Leadership in constructing new business, renewal, expansion, multi-year, ramped, multi-product, and non-standard deals.
- Translate commercial strategies into deal structures addressing value exchange, risk, concessions, billing terms, contract timing, and implementation assumptions.
- Coordinate with Legal on non-standard terms, contract language, execution paths, risk ownership, and customer-requested changes.
- Partner with Finance on revenue recognition, billing, payment terms, product lines, start dates, order forms, and approval evidence.
- Translate pricing, packaging, and product decisions into CPQ logic, approval paths, field processes, and reporting requirements.
- Define deal rules, quote requirements, launch constraints, fallback paths, and guidance for new product introductions.
- Own handoffs from approved quotes into ordering, billing, commissions, reporting, and customer lifecycle systems.
- Run operating cadences using KPIs, defect logs, root-cause analysis, action tracking, and continuous improvement; implement automation and AI opportunities.
