Requirements
- Hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Have an active license to practice law, in good standing, in your state of residence.
- Have 3+ years of legal experience with a strong focus on commercial contracting.
- Bring strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Have working knowledge of, or interest in, employment, compliance, and corporate governance matters.
- In-house experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in apparel, promotional products, manufacturing, distribution, or healthcare is a plus.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management and document management platforms such as Agiloft or NetDocuments is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate customer, supplier, vendor, and confidentiality agreements.
- Advise sales, operations, and finance on legal matters within business timelines.
- Respond to legal and contractual sections of customer RFPs and questionnaires.
- Maintain and improve contract templates, forms, and standard terms.
- Conduct legal research, including intellectual property matters, and support compliance initiatives.
- Apply U.S. and international laws to business operations, including matters involving Canada, China, India, and Brazil.
- Manage outside counsel relationships on assigned matters.
- Support acquisition and integration activity.
- Help evaluate and roll out contract-management technology.
- Review and refine company policies and deliver internal legal training.
