Requirements
- Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Be licensed to practice law in the United States or Canada.
- Have 15+ years of progressively responsible legal leadership experience.
- Have significant experience supporting executive leadership and Boards of Directors.
- Have experience negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Have strong knowledge of corporate governance and international business law.
- Have experience managing legal teams and outside counsel.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Advise the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board on legal, regulatory, governance, and business matters.
- Develop and execute global legal and regulatory strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Lead corporate legal matters, including contracts, employment law, intellectual property, litigation, privacy, cybersecurity, and governance.
- Oversee mergers, acquisitions, investments, financing transactions, and management of legal entities across jurisdictions.
- Lead global spectrum strategy, licensing, filings, coordination, and engagement with regulators and policy forums.
- Develop global government relations strategy and support government and defense business initiatives.
- Lead enterprise compliance programs covering export controls, sanctions, anti-corruption, privacy, government contracting, ethics, and corporate compliance.
- Identify legal and regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead, recruit, mentor, and develop Legal and Regulatory Affairs professionals.
- Manage outside counsel and regulatory consultants globally.
