Requirements
- 6+ years of U.S. P&C insurance industry experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, product management, or actuarial roles.
- Hands-on ownership of multistate P&C rate, rule, and form filings in SERFF.
- Experience writing objection responses and resolving inquiries directly with department analysts.
- Fluency with AI tools like Claude for building prompts and templates.
- Working knowledge of rating plans, rate and rule manuals, and associated actuarial support.
- Strong persuasive technical writing skills for regulatory narratives.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Actuarial designation (ACAS/FCAS) or progress preferred.
- Experience with predictive, machine learning, or catastrophe model filings preferred.
- Familiarity with NAIC model laws regarding AI and third-party data preferred.
Responsibilities
- Draft, file, and defend AI and predictive model filings in SERFF from drafting through approval.
- Lead objection and interrogatory responses by coordinating with data science, actuarial, and product teams.
- Scale the regulatory function by building processes and standards for repeatable multistate filings.
- Support carrier clients on rate and underwriting filings and represent ZestyAI in client meetings.
- Monitor state requirements and department updates to provide internal and client guidance.
