Requirements

  • Bring 6+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data analytics, or strategic operations.
  • Have 2+ years directly managing analyst reports, including performance management, hiring, and career development; this is not a first-time manager role.
  • Demonstrate advanced, hands-on SQL skills, including writing, QA, and optimization of complex queries and reviewing others' work.
  • Have working fluency in dbt, including building and reviewing models, making design decisions, and identifying issues.
  • Have experience owning complex cross-functional projects from an ambiguous ask through a stakeholder-ready recommendation.
  • Have experience building and maintaining dashboards in Sigma, Tableau, or a comparable tool.
  • Demonstrate stakeholder management skills, including clearly communicating complex problems to senior leaders and proposing alternative approaches when warranted by the data.
  • Maintain high attention to detail and catch data quality issues before they affect leadership reporting.
  • Preferred: experience supporting AI/ML workflows, agent builds, or automation initiatives.
  • Preferred: Python or a similar scripting language for data manipulation and automation.
  • Preferred: familiarity with operational KPIs across customer support, fraud, payments, or workforce management.
  • Preferred: experience in gaming, fintech, or sports.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of 2–3 analysts, including goal setting, feedback, performance management, and career development.
  • Review SQL, dbt models, dashboards, and analyses to set the team's technical and analytical standards.
  • Prioritize the team's Ops stakeholder request queue and escalate broader tradeoffs and resourcing decisions when needed.
  • Lead complex cross-functional analytical initiatives from ambiguous business problems through analysis and decision-ready recommendations.
  • Diagnose root causes in data and translate findings into concrete recommendations.
  • Lead scenario analysis and impact sizing for product initiatives, operational changes, and staffing decisions.
  • Set standards for Ops dashboards and reporting, including clear KPIs and documented assumptions.
  • Present findings to operational stakeholders and senior leadership, and defend methodology.
  • Own the quality and reliability of the team's dbt models and analytical datasets; partner with central data teams on upstream pipelines and reliability issues.
  • Partner on the Ops analytics AI roadmap, support agent development with trusted data and evaluation frameworks, track agent performance, and help define where human review is needed.
  • Help replace recurring manual data pulls with maintainable reporting, automation, and alerting.
