Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative STEM discipline focused on computational modeling and statistical analysis.
- 6+ years of experience in advanced data analytics or data science.
- At least 2 years focused on predictive modeling, machine learning, or complex statistical programming in healthcare or a large-scale operational environment.
- Proficiency in R or Python for advanced data manipulation and analysis.
- Advanced SQL capabilities, including complex querying and data engineering for large-scale datasets.
- Experience applying analytical or machine learning algorithms to healthcare, Medicaid, or Care Management data.
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Experience retrieving, integrating, storing, cleansing, and preprocessing data from multiple sources.
- Experience with exploratory data analysis and communicating findings through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and support data analytics or reporting professionals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, data visualization tools, and reporting platforms.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must reside in North Carolina and be able to travel to the Morrisville, NC home office for onsite meetings as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead predictive and prescriptive analytical frameworks supporting Care Management decision-making and operational excellence.
- Partner with Care Management leadership to identify opportunities for data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
- Oversee statistical programming and machine learning to identify health risks, trends, operational bottlenecks, and actionable patterns.
- Guide development of analytical models and automated data pipelines.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of data analysts; assign and prioritize analytical work.
- Partner with IT, Business Intelligence, Quality, Clinical Operations, and other stakeholders on data architecture and analytics needs.
- Translate statistical findings and technical outputs into actionable recommendations for executive audiences.
- Establish quality assurance protocols for data accuracy, model integrity, algorithm reliability, and analytical consistency.
- Improve data capture and infrastructure for longitudinal and predictive use cases.
- Ensure reports, dashboards, metrics, code, and analytical workflows are documented and maintained.
