Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in payer analytics, formulary or claims data management, content mapping, data governance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with United States healthcare data.
  • Strong understanding of formulary data, patient claims data, data quality, metadata management, data lineage, and data governance.
  • Familiarity with payer and HCP/provider mapping, content research, SQL, data modeling, and database management systems.
  • Experience with master data management, data profiling, and analytical tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI for analysis, reporting, dashboarding, and data-quality monitoring.
  • Understanding of data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to assess payer/provider structures and complex hierarchies, exercise sound judgment, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to document actionable steps, identify automation and process-improvement opportunities, and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience mentoring peers and explaining complex data and mapping concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Map payer, plan, HCP, and provider records into governed hierarchies by reconciling inconsistent names, identifiers, relationships, and structures.
  • Research and validate records, including plan types, parent organizations, controllers, PBM relationships, and provider affiliations.
  • Assign confidence ratings, document mapping rationale, prepare outputs for senior validation, review junior-analyst mappings, and resolve complex exceptions.
  • Validate, cleanse, profile, and enrich data; identify quality issues, analyze root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Maintain data dictionaries, lineage, metadata, governance policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor data integrity and develop or maintain data-quality dashboards, scorecards, and reports.
  • Partner with Operations and adjacent teams to integrate data management and mapping processes into development and delivery workflows.
  • Train end users on data management and mapping best practices, mentor peers, and transfer knowledge across the team.
  • Support data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements and collaborate with data stewards and global stakeholders.
  • Gather internal-user and client feedback and contribute to improvements in data products and processes.
