Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, procurement, or related supply chain roles within the aerospace industry.
- Proven experience managing international sourcing projects and supplier development initiatives.
- Demonstrated success negotiating high-value contracts and leading supplier performance improvement efforts.
- Strong technical background in composite, metallic, and plastic materials; electronics manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle NetSuite, and strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement, contract management, project management, or data analytics tools.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and other aerospace-specific quality standards is preferred.
- PMP, CPSM, APICS, or equivalent procurement or project management certifications are advantageous.
- A valid driver's license and ability to travel independently; international travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes, bid evaluations, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
- Identify, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers, particularly for aerospace materials and components.
- Develop sourcing strategies, procurement activity plans, and sourcing calendars aligned with program requirements and timelines.
- Build business cases and perform cost benchmarking, cost modeling, and Total Cost of Ownership analyses.
- Analyze supplier performance metrics and sourcing data to support decisions.
- Negotiate supplier agreements and monitor KPIs, implementing corrective action plans when needed.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Finance teams and serve as the contact between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate material certification, inspection, and delivery, and track sourcing risks and mitigation plans.
