Requirements
- Have 3-5+ years' experience in a Financial Accountant or similar accounting role.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Have a CPA, CA, or equivalent accounting qualification, or be currently working towards completion.
- Have a strong understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Have intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Have experience working with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Exposure to NetSuite and/or Power BI is highly regarded.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Be able to manage competing priorities, work independently, and collaborate within a team.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end accounting activities, including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Take ownership of allocated asset and liability accounts, including bank and cash, prepayments, fixed assets, creditors, and accruals.
- Complete reconciliations accurately and on time, identifying and resolving variances.
- Prepare expense analysis and support management reporting requirements.
- Support the integrity and accuracy of financial data within the general ledger.
- Assist with quarterly, half-year, and year-end reporting, including NASDAQ and ASIC listed reporting obligations and external audits.
- Provide payroll support across Australian and US operations, including full payroll processing during leave coverage.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver finance activities and reporting deadlines.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, ad hoc financial analysis, and finance-related projects.
