Requirements
- Have 2+ years of technical writing experience.
- Demonstrate strong technical writing experience.
- Have working knowledge of Kubernetes fundamentals, including pods, namespaces, and control planes.
- Be comfortable using a terminal to run commands such as kubectl and helm.
- Be familiar with ticket trackers such as GitHub Issues, Jira, or Linear, or similar tools.
- Be familiar with async collaboration with engineers on a global team.
- Be familiar with automated style and lint enforcement, such as Vale.
- Be familiar with versioned documentation workflows.
- Be comfortable using AI in the writing workflow, including drafting from tickets and design docs and verifying procedures with an AI coding assistant.
- Prior experience with container orchestration, platform engineering, or infrastructure tooling is a bonus.
- Experience with Docusaurus, MDX, or similar is a bonus.
- Experience working in a high-growth environment is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain conceptual, how-to, and reference documentation for vCluster, vCluster Platform, vMetal, and related tenant-isolation concepts.
- Stand up tenant clusters to verify procedures, capture screenshots, and confirm CLI output before publishing.
- Work from projects, tickets, and design docs to develop documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers to address documentation gaps surfaced by support and sales.
- Contribute to product information architecture, naming conventions, hierarchy, and concept organization across the docs site.
- Review and edit documentation for consistency with the terminology and style guide.
