Requirements

  • Experience in higher education recruitment, student engagement, field marketing, campus programs, or related work.
  • Comfort with significant travel, including up to 50% during peak recruitment seasons.
  • Experience generating leads and cultivating relationships with students, faculty, advisors, student leaders, alumni, or campus partners.
  • Ability to turn loosely defined goals into action, test approaches, and adapt based on results.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail across multiple campuses, campaigns, and relationships.
  • Ability to track recruitment activity and use data to identify issues and adjust course toward enrollment goals.
  • Comfort using and developing technology and CRM systems; Slate experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate with colleagues, and respond constructively to feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tailored recruitment plans for a portfolio of higher education partners, with goals for leads, applications, and enrollment.
  • Generate student leads through campus events, information sessions, classroom talks, digital channels, and other outreach.
  • Build relationships with faculty, advisors, student leaders, and campus partners who can refer students.
  • Lead information sessions, campus visits, and classroom talks for students, families, and campus staff.
  • Answer student questions, address barriers, and guide applicants through the application process to enrollment.
  • Recruit, onboard, and support student and alumni ambassadors, and launch peer-to-peer and referral campaigns.
  • Maintain the student pipeline in Slate and coordinate follow-up with Admissions.
  • Track leads, applications, and enrollment; use funnel data to identify where students disengage and adjust priorities.
  • Partner with Marketing to share campus insights and strengthen recruitment messaging.
  • Test recruitment approaches, scale effective practices, and develop playbooks for other campuses.
