SalaryThe annual base salary for this role is between $133,000 USD and $186,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Requirements
- Experience building developer events or communities, ideally at a developer tools, infrastructure, or technology company.
- A track record of growing an engaged community beyond increasing registrations or attendance.
- Strong event production skills, including creating welcoming, useful, well-run events and handling unexpected issues on site.
- Experience managing sponsorships, vendors, and budgets, with sound judgment about where to invest.
- Comfort working with developer advocates, marketing, and sales to turn in-person engagement into lasting relationships.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills with developers, organizers, speakers, partners, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize well.
- Ability to travel as the program grows.
- Existing relationships in the San Francisco or New York developer communities are a bonus.
- Experience in security, identity, or infrastructure is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Build a calendar of conferences, meetups, and 1Password-hosted events, and recommend where to sponsor, speak, participate, or host.
- Evaluate conference and sponsorship opportunities, manage organizer relationships and budgets, and use results to guide future investment.
- Plan and run meetups, workshops, dinners, and other gatherings, managing the experience from format and speakers through on-site execution.
- Create ways for developers to stay connected, return, contribute, and bring others into the community.
- Host events in person and represent 1Password in conversations with developers.
- Partner with the Principal Developer Advocate on talks, technical content, and developer experiences.
- Work with marketing and sales on follow-up paths, community insights, and measuring event contributions to relationships, adoption, and pipeline.
- Capture photos, short videos, and takeaways to extend event reach on LinkedIn and X.
