- Have 7+ years of relevant experience with a PhD or 10+ years with a Master’s degree.
- Demonstrate experience leading clinical research teams and supervising senior-level statistical professionals.
- Bring strong expertise in modern data manipulation techniques and advanced statistical analysis.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead clinical research teams and manage complex statistical programs.
- Be able to manage multiple priorities and projects independently while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality standards.
- Have strong prioritization, problem-solving, organization, decision-making, time management, negotiation, mentoring, and planning skills.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, project teams, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Biostatistician Managers and oversee statistical deliverables across a broad research area.
- Serve as a primary statistical contact for clients on large projects and build collaborative relationships with sponsors and project teams.
- Manage statistical resources, including budgets and personnel, to support appropriate staffing and timely project completion.
- Develop biostatistics department strategy and priorities in partnership with senior leadership.
- Provide expert statistical consultation on clinical research projects and advise teams on complex methodological and operational questions.
- Supervise and mentor senior statistical professionals, supporting their career development, technical growth, and leadership capabilities.
- Represent the organization in sponsor, regulatory, investigator, and safety review meetings, including Data and Safety Monitoring Board meetings.
- Prepare, review, and approve clinical project materials requiring statistical input.
- Review processes, schedules, checklists, and SOP-driven activities to promote consistent statistical delivery.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and provide project updates to the Director of Biostatistics.
