Requirements
- Have 7+ years of professional backend software engineering experience and a track record of designing and delivering complex production systems.
- Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a comparable technical field.
- Have strong experience with server-side programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Have experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Understand distributed systems, event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, or related backend infrastructure patterns.
- Have experience designing systems at scale that require reliability, low latency, state reconciliation, or complex access control.
- Be able to lead complex projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders while maintaining technical ownership.
- Have strong problem-solving abilities and a systems-oriented approach to designing scalable solutions.
- Experience with sensitive data, authorization systems, compliance requirements, or enterprise security considerations is valuable.
- Experience building scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS is a plus.
- Experience with file system vendors or enterprise file management platforms is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain backend services for enterprise-scale file storage, permissions synchronization, and third-party file integrations.
- Design event-driven systems for real-time permission propagation across financial data environments and external storage providers.
- Develop distributed systems that handle bursty workloads, state reconciliation, and demanding latency requirements.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, and Compliance teams on sensitive data access, authorization, and enterprise file management.
- Lead complex technical projects across multiple teams, coordinating delivery and architectural decisions.
- Contribute to platform migrations and infrastructure evolution, including storage transitions, webhook consolidation, and folder-structure changes.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering practices, technical standards, testing approaches, and architectural principles.
- Develop AI-powered file processing, metadata extraction, and content-aware workflows.
- Evaluate third-party file platform capabilities and identify opportunities to improve file management functionality.
