Requirements
- Have 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering and software testing.
- Bring strong hands-on experience with Kotlin/Android SDK or Swift/iOS SDK, with working knowledge of the other native mobile stack.
- Have experience with mobile build tools such as Gradle and Xcode.
- Understand software test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Have hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Espresso, Compose Test, or XCUITest.
- Have experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Buildkite, Spinnaker, Jenkins, or Fastlane.
- Have strong Git and version-control experience.
- Use quality metrics such as coverage, flaky test rates, suite execution time, and escaped defects to guide engineering priorities.
- Be able to develop solutions for ambiguous, complex technical problems involving multiple teams.
- Have experience designing integrations or technical solutions with significant cross-team impact.
- Be comfortable collaborating professionally in English.
- Have curiosity and practical interest in applying AI or LLM technologies to software testing and developer productivity.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
Responsibilities
- Lead mobile test automation strategies across unit, service, integration, and end-to-end testing for iOS and Android.
- Build and maintain automated tests using Swift and Kotlin in collaboration with native mobile engineering teams.
- Develop automation coverage for product features and releases across both mobile platforms.
- Improve automation frameworks to support new functionality and increase testing efficiency, reliability, and coverage.
- Integrate automated tests into development pipelines with CI/CD teams.
- Improve automation suite health by reducing flaky tests and improving execution time, debuggability, and quality metrics.
- Troubleshoot complex test failures, verify bug fixes, and investigate device- and emulator-specific problems.
- Participate in design reviews and guide engineering decisions toward greater modularity, testability, and fault tolerance.
- Apply AI and modern tooling to improve Quality Engineering and developer productivity.
