Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering and testing.
- Knowledge of at least one web development language, such as TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Comfort working in a backend language, such as Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
- Strong knowledge of test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, such as Buildkite, Spinnaker, or Jenkins.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience using quality signals such as coverage, flaky test rate, suite execution time, and escaped defects.
- Ability to develop solutions to ambiguous problems and integrations across multiple teams.
- Curiosity about applying AI/LLMs to testing and developer productivity.
- Comfortable collaborating in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of an AI-enabled test automation strategy across unit, service, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Build, maintain, and improve automated tests with engineering teams to provide robust coverage for features and releases.
- Improve automation frameworks to support new functionality and optimize quality and efficiency.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with the CI/CD team.
- Troubleshoot and isolate issues, debug problems found during testing or after release, and verify bug fixes.
- Use quality signals such as coverage, flaky test rate, suite execution time, and escaped defects to prioritize work and demonstrate impact.
- Collaborate with product management, development, and other Quality Engineering teams.
- Write and test product code, participate in design reviews, and guide designs and code toward modularity and testability.
