Requirements
- Have 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering and testing.
- Bring strong hands-on experience in Kotlin/Android SDK or Swift/iOS SDK and working knowledge of the other native mobile stack.
- Have experience with modern build tools such as Gradle and Xcode.
- Know test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Have hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Espresso, Compose Test, or XCUITest.
- Have experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, such as Buildkite, Spinnaker, Jenkins, or Fastlane.
- Have experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Use quality signals such as coverage, flaky test rate, suite execution time, and escaped defects to prioritize work.
- Be experienced in developing solutions to ambiguous problems and integrations across multiple teams.
- Be curious about applying AI/LLMs to testing and developer productivity.
- Be comfortable collaborating in English.
- Have a bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Lead an AI-enabled test automation strategy across unit, service, integration, and end-to-end testing for iOS and Android.
- Build, maintain, and use automated tests in Swift and Kotlin in collaboration with mobile engineering teams.
- Improve automation frameworks to support new functionality and quality across both native codebases.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines with the CI/CD team.
- Own mobile automation suite health and signal quality by reducing flaky tests, improving execution time and debuggability, and defining quality metrics.
- Troubleshoot testing and post-release issues, including device- and emulator-specific failures, and verify bug fixes.
- Participate in design reviews and help architect testable systems and improve code modularity and testability.
- Collaborate with product management, development, and other quality engineering teams.
