Have 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering and software testing.
Have demonstrable experience with at least one web development language, such as TypeScript or JavaScript.
Be comfortable working with a backend programming language such as Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
Have a strong understanding of software test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
Have hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.
Have experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Buildkite, Spinnaker, or Jenkins.
Have strong experience with Git and modern version-control practices.
Have experience using quality metrics such as test coverage, flaky test rates, suite execution time, and escaped defects to guide engineering priorities.
Be able to develop solutions for ambiguous and complex technical problems.
Have experience designing integrations or technical solutions spanning multiple teams and having significant impact.
Be comfortable collaborating professionally in English across Product, Engineering, and Quality Engineering teams.
Be curious about applying AI and large language models to software testing and developer productivity.
Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.

Lead test automation strategies across unit, service, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Build, maintain, and use automated tests to cover product features and releases.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve testing practices and automation coverage.
Develop and enhance automation frameworks to support functionality and engineering efficiency.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines with CI/CD teams.
Develop and maintain test tools and contribute to product code where appropriate.
Participate in design reviews and guide architectural decisions toward modular, maintainable, testable systems.
Troubleshoot issues, isolate failures, debug defects, and verify fixes found during testing and after release.
Use test coverage, flaky test rates, suite execution time, and escaped defects to prioritize improvements.
Apply AI and modern tooling to accelerate testing and improve developer productivity and Quality Engineering practices.
