Requirements
- Have 4+ years of experience in content or editorial, including 1 year managing people.
- Demonstrate strong editing across formats.
- Have experience staffing people across several client accounts at once.
- Know Reddit well, including how communities react to brands.
- Know what GEO is and how content earns citations in AI answers.
- Be proficient with ClickUp, Slack, and Google Workspace.
- Use AI tools in your workflow without letting them write the copy.
- Be able to rewrite weak drafts and coach writers on how to improve them.
Responsibilities
- Assign writers to accounts based on capacity and client fit.
- Track writer activity and quality, identify overcapacity, and plan coverage for time off or unexpected gaps.
- Bring in freelance help when the team lacks the required range.
- Review writer work, train writers on client and editorial expectations, and maintain voice and persona on branded Reddit accounts.
- Improve briefs and guidance to prevent recurring feedback.
- Manage 3–5 writers, run regular 1:1s, and create development plans.
- Coach writers on editorial judgment and voice, hire and onboard new writers, and address performance problems with improvement plans.
- Scope writing capacity against client deliverable targets and join client calls to report on content performance and writing strategy.
- Track what is working across accounts as Reddit and AI search evolve.
