Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in market research, data analytics, business intelligence, competitive intelligence, marketing, or a related discipline within the U.S. commercial pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. pharmaceutical market, ideally within general medicine, cardiovascular, metabolic, renal, or other high-prevalence therapeutic areas.
- Demonstrated experience working with U.S. pharmaceutical market data sources, including claims, EHR, prescription, audit, payer coverage, and competitive intelligence databases.
- Working knowledge of the drug development process and the ability to evaluate and interpret competitive clinical trial design.
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel capabilities, with expert-level ability to create clear, compelling presentations, strategic frameworks, and executive-ready materials.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, external partners, and competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
- Experience with the U.S. payer and market access environment is preferred.
- Experience supporting commercial-stage pharmaceutical organizations is relevant to the role.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic frameworks that organize and prioritize critical business questions related to commercial planning, product launch strategy, lifecycle management, market opportunity, and broader business development priorities.
- Lead primary and secondary market research, analytics, and competitive intelligence initiatives, translating complex market information into clear insights and recommendations for business decision-making.
- Manage multiple third-party vendors, data providers, research partners, and consultants to generate high-quality data and insights for commercial and cross-functional needs.
- Partner with Marketing and Market Access teams to develop strategic commercial plans supporting the launch of a pharmaceutical product in uncontrolled and resistant hypertension.
- Conduct or support ad hoc literature reviews, epidemiology assessments, commercial opportunity analyses, and other market evaluations for senior leadership, business development activities, external presentations, investor communications, and board-level materials.
- Monitor competitive activity across relevant therapeutic areas and proactively disseminate meaningful developments and implications to stakeholders across the organization.
- Provide market and commercial inputs into revenue forecast development and updates, helping ensure assumptions are informed by relevant market intelligence.
- Manage business insights budget planning and spending efficiently, balancing research priorities, data requirements, and available resources.
