Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering and backend systems at scale.
- Deep, hands-on proficiency with Snowflake, dbt, Liquibase, Fivetran, Airflow, OpenMetadata, Kafka, SQL, and Python.
- Experience building production-grade ELT/ETL pipelines and managing complex data transformations.
- Proven track record of shipping production enterprise systems.
- Experience building systems for data accuracy, validation, and reconciliation.
- Experience building data APIs or feature stores for ML/AI applications.
- Strong architectural judgment with knowledge of resilience, modularity, and backwards compatibility.
- Familiarity with AI engineering tools like Claude Code and Codex.
- Highly preferred: Experience with healthcare concepts including revenue cycle management (RCM) and billing.
Responsibilities
- Architect a high-scale data model and storage architecture outside legacy systems using Medallion architecture.
- Define API contracts and real-time event-driven streaming architectures.
- Own accuracy and reliability of core business metrics including collection rate and days in AR.
- Build real-time data foundations and context systems for AI-driven products.
- Write, ship, and maintain high-quality production code alongside data engineers.
- Mentor engineers through rigorous code reviews and design guidance.
- Define and enforce standards for enterprise data dictionary and metadata strategy.
