Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a multi-state, unrestricted compact license.
- Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN preferred; BSN required).
- 8 years of nursing experience.
- 2 years of experience as a people manager in oncology and/or case management.
- Certification as Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Specialist (AOCNS), or Certified Case Manager (CCM).
- Experience in healthcare, particularly in oncology, as a nurse navigator or case manager.
- Proven track record of managing hourly staff and high-performing nurse teams.
- Experience with or ability to learn Google Suite, Slack, and electronic health records.
- Willingness to obtain additional state nursing licenses as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage and serve as an escalation point for a team of Oncology Nurses.
- Drive team productivity and performance through coaching, mentorship, and performance improvement plans.
- Lead team meetings and huddles to manage queues and set support priorities.
- Monitor assignments and queue management as an air traffic controller.
- Participate in the oncology nurse interview and hiring loop.
- Provide clinical expertise in medical, behavioral, and crisis management.
- Conduct root-cause analyses to identify knowledge, data, or procedure gaps.
- Support staffing requirements, policy updates, and resource maintenance.
