Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of increasingly responsible experience applying Project Management principles and tools within the last 10 years.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a senior project manager for large or complex IT projects within the last 10 years.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience substituted on a year-for-year basis.
- Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the PMI.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting California Department of Technology (CDT) Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) Stage 2–4 projects.
- Minimum 2 years of experience preparing documentation for CDT Stage Gate Reviews.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Accela Civic Platform or Accela licensing and enforcement modules.
- Ability to provide verifiable client or end-user references.
- Strong vendor coordination skills in multi-vendor or System Integrator (SI) environments.
- Familiarity with licensing, compliance, and enforcement workflows.
- Experience with Agile and hybrid delivery models (Scrum, SAFe, or Agile-Waterfall blends).
Responsibilities
- Engage in collecting and documenting new or updated business, technical, and data requirements.
- Manage project plans ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met on time.
- Assume responsibility for project documentation for all stages of the CDT PAL process.
- Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholders, team members, and vendors.
- Provide team leadership, mentoring, and technical oversight, including data conversion and integration.
- Resolve project issues promptly and coordinate end-user training and support.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and facilitate knowledge transfer.
