Requirements
- 10 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and accounting best practices.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting and US standards.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and MS Office literacy.
- Experience with integrated business processes in an enterprise software environment (ERP).
- Proven critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience mentoring junior team members.
- Ability to analyze large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility with executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Review journal entries prepared by the accounting team and prepare complex general ledger entries.
- Review AP spend and cash flow forecasts to ensure cash flow needs are met.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations, including inventory, revenue, and payroll liabilities.
- Partner with FP&A on the review and preparation of budgets, forecasts, and allocation methods.
- Train and mentor staff and ensure process documentation is maintained.
- Monitor emerging US GAAP standards and assist with data gathering for implementation.
- Establish internal controls to minimize risk of errors, duplicate payments, or fraud.
- Review customer contracts to ensure consistent application of revenue recognition policies (ASC 606).
- Prepare and review audit support and manage PBC requests for external auditors.
