Requirements
- Professional background in platform engineering or software engineering.
- Hands-on coding, scripting, and integration ability (not configuration-only).
- Experience building integrations against APIs, event-driven systems, or LLM and agent orchestration frameworks.
- Experience in a forward-deployed, solutions engineering, architecture, or embedded consulting capacity.
- Strong grounding in CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
- Depth in an adjacent domain such as security, observability, or cost management.
- Ability to operate with ambiguity and translate business objectives into working integrations.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to customer sites for active build engagements.
Responsibilities
- Embed inside a customer's engineering organization for the duration of a build engagement to design and build agent-driven automation.
- Write production code connecting Harness AI Agents to a customer's pipelines, repositories, ITSM tooling, security systems, and infrastructure.
- Partner with customer engineering stakeholders to translate plans into working software.
- Prototype quickly, ship incrementally, and iterate directly with customer engineers.
- Turn custom builds into reusable patterns to share with the broader Harness delivery organization.
- Provide feedback to Harness product and engineering teams based on real-world customer environment builds.
- Support the transition from custom build to steady-state operation for customer independence.
