Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Proficiency with ERP accounting software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, complex formulas, and data processing).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to work with limited resources.
- Proactive, positive team-player attitude.
- CPA certification (preferred).
- Public accounting experience (preferred).
- Experience working in the consumer products industry (preferred).
- Interest in health, wellness, personal care, and eCommerce industries.
Responsibilities
- Handle reconciliation of high-volume and high-value accounts including accrued sales tax, bank clearing accounts, and inventory purchases.
- Reconcile daily cash flow reporting and monthly bank statements while managing chargebacks and outstanding checks.
- Develop, document, and implement improved reconciliation procedures and policies to enhance process efficiency.
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare documentation for sales tax and VAT filings to comply with audit requirements.
- Collaborate with Operations and Sales teams to provide data support and ensure financial alignment.
- Calculate and oversee royalty reporting for licensing contracts.
- Reconcile marketing costs and calculate cost per acquisition (CPA).
- Verify revenue posting across e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Amazon, and Walmart.
- Collaborate with the retail team on invoicing and oversee accounts receivable collections.
