Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in psychometrics, educational measurement, quantitative methods, or related field.
- Strong grounding in psychometric methods (item analysis, reliability/validity, growth modeling, Item Response Theory).
- Proficiency with SQL and a statistical programming language (R or Python).
- Experience or interest in business intelligence tools like Looker.
- Familiarity with responsible data-sharing and student privacy practices (FERPA, COPPA).
- Strong project-management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical findings for non-technical stakeholders.
- Cross-cultural competency and commitment to inclusive perspectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead psychometric research partnerships, supporting study design, data sharing, and analysis.
- Extract, clean, and share assessment data with external partners on a recurring schedule.
- Analyze and interpret psychometric findings such as item difficulty, growth modeling, and concurrent validity.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to translate research findings into product improvements.
- Recruit and manage school/district sites for efficacy studies and negotiate data-sharing agreements.
- Own the Khan Kids KPI dashboard and manage integrations with App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
- Prepare recurring app performance reports and support ad hoc data requests via SQL.
