Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on payroll and benefits administration experience.
- Direct experience running payroll through ADP Workforce Now for at least 500 employees.
- Experience managing multi-state payroll.
- Experience reconciling benefits invoices.
- Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll and tax requirements.
- Highly proficient with Excel or Google Sheets for large datasets and reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-insured benefits plans experience preferred.
- Knowledge of New York's Convenience of the Employer rule preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end US payroll processing for 500+ employees, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll.
- Partner with Finance and People Ops to manage payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, bonuses, and leaves.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for payroll and tax-related employee questions.
- Manage multi-state payroll and tax requirements, including New York's Convenience of the Employer rule.
- Own payroll and invoicing-related benefits administration and reconcile benefits invoices for self-funded plans.
- Support month-end, year-end, W-2 preparation, open enrollment, and audits.
- Maintain documentation and controls while identifying opportunities to automate and scale processes.
